SR Surveyors is a small family run business, available to carry out damp and timber surveys to both domestic and commercial properties, we can also arrange for other services that may be required when needed during the process of buying and selling property – (See Services page).
Our surveyors are genuinely interested in the construction of buildings and understand how and why damp affects them – giving an honest, reliable and friendly service.
- We are a small family run company having 3 main surveyors specialising in different areas of expertise. Our surveyors include our CSRT and CSSW qualified remedial surveyor who is also currently working towards CABE and RICS and is annually assessed on CPD to ensure continuous professional development, also having experience in business and health and safety holding the IOSH qualification. Our building surveyor who has extensive building and construction knowledge having worked in the industry and built up numerous successful businesses associated with the building industry and finally our BPEC qualified surveyor for knowledge on achieving the correct ventilation and air management systems to assist with the control of humidity and condensation. We also have our GASSAFE engineer on hand to provide any gas certificates if needed but also to assist with identifying and tracing leaks that may be the cause of damp/timber related issues. All of our surveyors have knowledge of all areas however the specific areas of expertise allow for a much broader view when identifying sources of damp and timber related problems. Please note it is our PCA surveyor who attends all surveys usually accompanied by another surveyor based on the initial enquiry.
- All of our surveyors also have hands on experience in the building and construction industry, property development and practical application of remedial treatments to ensure we can give the best advice when making recommendations in the reports or giving advice on how to carry out works required.
- A combined knowledge of over 70 years’ experience covering all property types of all construction and size.
- We are available to work nationwide – please see our notes in areas covered and services and fees regarding any additional costs that may be involved. Although we do charge travel fees we have still been known to be competitive when working long distance, particularly in London. This is also beneficial for remote areas where other surveyors are difficult to find.
- Personal service provided by our trusted team. Our qualified surveyor attends all surveys and personally writes up each individual report without the usual generic and irrelevant paragraphs. This prevents anything being missed or misinterpreted which can be caused when passing on notes to a third party. It also enables us to know exactly what was seen on the survey and what is written in the report to allow us to discuss any queries.
- Fast turnaround. We allow for 2-3 surveying days per week and the rest of the week is reserved for report writing to ensure the documents are turned around as quickly as possible.
- Our reports are written in ‘layman’ terms with everything clearly explained.
- We hold all of our own specialist equipment which is calibrated as required.
- All jobs are photographed and visually described, as illustrated in the reports.
